Technology of the Deliverance of the Development Aid is a research and benchmarking project done during the spring and summer of 2014 in Aalto ARTS University’s Media Lab Helsinki, Finland. The project is done in co-operation with the World Bank.
The purpose of the project is to research different technologies, applications and techniques which are used to improve the deliverance of development aid. The focus is in the mobile technologies and applications used for the purpose.
Questions answered during the research:
- What kind of technologies, techniques and applications exist to improve the deliverance of development aid?
- How do the researched technologies, techniques and applications answer to the needs of stakeholders, such as institutions working with development aid projects?
- What are the core innovations in the technologies and applications – and what could make the technologies, techniques and applications even better?
The research is conducted mainly by 1) benchmarking and researching existing technologies, techniques and applications and 2) interviewing selected stakeholders to find out their uses for different technologies.
This blog is used to open the research project and to make the existing technologies, techniques and applications more known to the public.
